Analyzing more than 30,800 user reviews on the Google platform for 2023, the following interesting facts emerge:

  • The most positive picture has it Samos airport with an evaluation of 4.46 out of 5, while in second place follows the airport Mytilene with a rating of 4.45. Next are its airports Thessaloniki and her Kavala with 4.39. The top 5 airports in Greece with the best reviews for 2023 also include the airport “Eleftherios Venizelos of Athens” with 4.25 out of 5.
  • The 5 airports with lower score in user ratings for 2023. On the other hand, its airport Heraklion continues to be the airport with the lowest evaluation score in Greece in 2023, with a further decrease in its average score compared to 2022, receiving an evaluation score of 2.43 out of 5 (from 2.69 in 2022). Next are its airports Chios (3.07), of Kalamata (3.08), of Mykonos (3.32) and of Take it (3.36).

2023 vs 2022: Interesting highlights

Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport saw a slight negative change in its user rating score in 2023 (4.26, from 4.35 in 2022), but this deprived it of the first place it had received in 2022 in the list of Greek airports with the highest score.

The airports of Karpathos, Paros, Kefalonia and Mytilini were the airports that recorded the largest positive annual percentage change in 2023 compared to 2022. In contrast, the airports of Kalamata, Chios, Heraklion and Skiathos recorded the largest negative annual percentage change in their evaluation score.

For the validity of the data, only the airports that have received more than 145 evaluations and served more than 250,000 passengers during the considered period have been included in the research.
