The Regional Department of Mytilini of the Hellenic Red Cross, within the framework of the action “The Basket of Love” that it implements, proceeded to provide food to 140 vulnerable families of the island.
In the context of the same action, food was also delivered to the “Social Pantry” of the Holy Metropolis of Mytilene, Eres & Plomari, through which around 150 vulnerable families & fellow human beings are fed daily. The process of preparing the meals of the Metropolis Social Fund is supported daily by 8 Social Welfare Volunteers of the Department.
The President Mr. Theodoros Valsamidis & the members of the Regional Council of the Mytilini Regional Department of the Hellenic Red Cross they warmly thank all the citizens who generously offered food to strengthen the Department’s action, as well as the tireless volunteers who participated in the implementation of the action.
“We sincerely thank his students Loutra Primary School and his 6u Kindergarten of Mytilenewho collected food and offered it to the action, the Teachers and the Association of Parents & Guardians of the Schools.
