Unthinkable brutality in Thessaloniki, with the police making two arrests for the crime in Thermi. The dog fell dead after the shooting and there was a disturbance in the area. Police officers managed to locate the two people who indicated eyewitnesses. The gunman and his accomplice, who allegedly gave him the order. The case is now in the hands of a prosecutor who is called upon to decide on the fate of the accused.
In the relevant announcement of the police, it is stated that “two people were arrested yesterday evening (25-04-2024) by police officers of the Thermi Police Department for killing an animal in the wider area of Thermi. These are people aged 47 and 44, against whom a case file was filed for violation of the Animal and Weapons Laws.
Specifically, the 44-year-old, on the orders of the 47-year-old, shot and killed a dog with a shotgun, as according to what the latter stated, he was aggressive towards his domestic animals.
Those arrested have been fined and will be brought before the competent Prosecutor”.
