Unstable weather in M. Week: Storms in the Aegean, rains and storms – The forecast of the meteorologists

Weather disturbances are expected during Holy Week, according to meteorologists.

As they report, local rains and storms are expected, mainly at the end of Holy Week, even on Easter Sunday, while strong north winds will blow in the Aegean with an intensity of 7-8 Beaufort.

Marousakis: Clear weather throughout the country today

Very good weather conditions for today throughout the country, with the northwest winds persisting and clearing the atmosphere even more, according to Clearchos Marousakis.

In particular, as the Open meteorologist reports, the weather will be generally clear today, while in the midday and afternoon hours in the continental areas, clouds will develop and mainly in the mountains of the western and northern country, local rains will occur.

Winds will persist from north-northwest directions, with moderate and locally strong intensities. As Mr. Marousakis notes, the northwest wind helped clear the atmosphere of African dust, while the quality of the atmospheric air has significantly improved after several days. The temperature in the late afternoon will reach 23-26 degrees Celsius.

In Attica, sunshine will prevail with a few local clouds which will not be a problem. Winds will be northwesterly at 5-6 Beaufort and the mercury will rise to 25 degrees Celsius by late afternoon.

In Thessaloniki, there will be sunshine with temporary clouds. The winds blow with moderate intensity, while the temperature will not exceed 22-23 degrees Celsius.

Unsettled weather at the end of Holy Week

As Clearchos Marousakis reports, in the next few days strong northerly winds will prevail in the Aegean, while nothing significant is expected until Sunday. At the beginning of Holy Week, there will be some disturbances in Thrace, with some rain and storms, while these phenomena will also extend to the west until the middle of next week. At the same time, the temperature will rise to 24-27 degrees Celsius.

From Maundy Thursday onwards, some disturbances will approach the country, from the most western parts. This means that at the end of Holy Week, including Easter Sunday, it is very likely that we will encounter unsettled weather conditions, mainly in western, central and northern Greece. In those areas it is possible to see showers and local storms, mainly in the midday and afternoon hours.

Yiannopoulos: The warmest April of the last 50 years for Attica

The main feature of the weather in the next few days will be the very strong north winds in the Aegean, according to Panagiotis Giannopoulos.

The weather today will be clear with the temperature hovering around 23 degrees Celsius.

The temperature today in Attica is expected to rise to 22-23 degrees, while the winds will blow northwest at 4 Beaufort. Mr. Yiannopoulos emphasized that this year’s April will be the warmest for Attica in the last 50 years.

At the same time, in Thessaloniki the temperature will reach 20 degrees Celsius, while the winds will blow northwest at 4 Beaufort.

Holy Week: Strong winds in the Aegean, with rain mainly in the north

As the ERT meteorologist reports, the strong north winds will start from Saturday, and from Saturday afternoon until Holy Wednesday they will be very strong, temporary Holy Monday and Holy Tuesday locally even at 8 Beaufort. However, they are not expected to create problems for maritime transport.

The temperature will rise a little in the next few days. On Saturday (27/4) we will have some sparse clouds with a few local showers in the north-western highlands.

From M. Thursday to M. Saturday, a few rains or showers may occur in the north of the country, mainly at noon. In the center and south the weather will be sunny, with temperatures of 25 to 27 degrees.
