The head of the People’s Rally of the Municipality of Tripoli, Mr. Vangelis Gourgaris, spoke on the Municipal Radio of Tripoli and the show “Epi tis oussias”.
“Until now there has been absolute silence on the matter. “Yesterday’s meeting was planned to be held by tour, and after my own reaction, it was held live and some things were learned,” he initially said, speaking about yesterday’s meeting of the Tripoli Municipal Council on the topic of the Energy Community.
At the same time, he said: “A wrong perception is being cultivated in society, that energy issues can be solved through energy communities. Energy communities accelerate the EU’s green transition policy and pave the way for massive RES deployment.”
Then Mr. Gourgaris emphasized: “At the moment there is an electricity dump but we don’t realize it. The excess energy produced, instead of being given to the world, is thrown in the trash.”
Finally he stated: “They wanted to hide from our citizens the other two common ballots of the Municipality. They act as a completely united government faction and tried not to let the world know what is going on”, while he also made a reference to the issue related to the quality of water in the village of Mygdalia in the Municipality of Gortynia.
