Nikos Plakias: I, Mr. Prime Minister, would like to have my children at home

“I, Mr. Prime Minister, if I could go back in time, I would like to have my children at home,” writes Nikos Plakias.

Mr. Prime Minister, if I could go back in time, I would like to have my children at home and to continue my life from where it left off, and not in the field you want to return to”, writes Nikos Plakias who lost his twin girls and niece in the accident in Tempi.

“Where my life stopped because of the mistakes of all of you”, he still writes, responding to what Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said about Tempi in his television interview on Thursday. “I wish I wasn’t in the position I’m in right now trying to tell you the obvious, the things even my 12-year-old niece understands,” he writes.

Commenting on the Tempe tragedy, in his interview with Sky yesterday, the Prime Minister said: “Going back in time some things could have been done differently. I’m mainly referring to the communication and tolerance we’ve shown to conspiracy theories that have taken root. I have confidence in Justice. The examination result is a composite result. The image left citizens with a bad taste. I had pointed out the danger of the Examination becoming a field of party confrontations. I have confidence in the Judiciary, other experts came in as well. Justice will answer for the responsibilities. I want it for an additional reason, to finally put an end to the conspiracy theories that tear apart any relationships of trust we have built between us.”
