The 2024 budget of the Municipality of Heraklion was also approved by the Decentralized Administration of Crete.
In his statement, Mayor Alexis Kalokairinos thanked the executives of the Decentralized Administration of Crete for the immediacy with which they acted and emphasized: “A difficult chapter that we were called to deal with from the first day of our Municipal Authority’s tenure, was successfully closed. We avoided extremely unfavorable situations, stabilized the ground, brought the required balance and now we are entering a development trajectory. We focus on our work, on taking advantage of every opportunity, on the struggle to improve the daily life and quality of life of the residents of our Municipality. Heraklion has prospects. It has momentum. Our country and its people have potential. Today, we start.”
