Video document records the movements of the hooligans in the stands of the “Melina Merkouri” stadium in Rentishortly after the order for the incidents that claimed the life of the police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis.
In the footage, the hooligans gradually leave towards the exit of the stadium and near the stairs they start arming themselves with naval flares, Molotov cocktails and other materials in order to attack the police forces.
According to 11 depositions, the “short” and the trapper’s manager handed out the naval fireballs, Molotov cocktails and throwing pens, pulling them out of a sack.
According to information from skai.gr, the authorities have in their possession video material, of the order of 8.5 gigabytes, with key shots for conducting the authorities’ investigation to be at least 25 to 30 minutes.
In fact, the volume of material was such that it required analysis by at least 100 police officers. Thus, shots of each defendant were “matched”, identifying the position they were sitting in the stadium, before the bloody episodes began. It is noted that all the accused have been identified through cameras.
