At the same time, the Appellate Prosecutor of Larisa accepted the appeal of P. Aslanidis – father of the victim of the fatal accident in Tempi – against the rejection decision of the Prosecutor of the first instance who filed the lawsuit of the relatives of the victims against him Christos Triandopoulos on the charges of bundling.

Triandopoulos: I didn’t give an order to set up in Tempi

It is recalled that in his earlier statements, the Deputy Minister of Climate Change and Civil Protection, Christos Triandopoulos categorically denied the allegations that he had any involvement in shaping the site of the Tempe accident.

“I didn’t give any orders for the site of the train crash in Tempe to be bombed. It is not true,” he previously said in Parliament.

“I underlined it in November, I do it now. The officials who participated in the Coordination, following the request of the Fire Department, decided on the interventions and configurations of the space and which had to be done for such a large and difficult accident, as foreseen by the Special Plan for the Management of Human Losses. The details have been answered by those who had official responsibility in the field so that the investigations can proceed, the victims can be freed and all the prescribed actions can be taken. They configured the space, as they themselves judged according to the provisions, the procedures and the needs they identified“, he said. The deputy minister said these “were not done with orders, but they proceeded with actions in order to be able to complete their really difficult task, the investigation and respond to the anxieties of their families and relatives. Nothing more, and nothing less.”

As he had stated, “I did not give an order for anything. I had no such role, no such authority. I did not participate in the meetings of the Coordinating Committee. I was there to help those who were operating in this difficult situation.”
