To a large extent, traffic has improved on the two central arteries where bollards were installed in the center of Larissa, on Papanastasiou and Panagouli streets, according to the responsible deputy mayor Mr. Vangelis Papalexis.

Answering a related question from Municipal Councilor Mr. Vassilis Mitrodimos, Mr. Papalexis emphasized, among other things, that “in the one month of their installation so far we have seen that traffic has improved to a great extent. Obviously, it has not solved the problems because a series of more measures are needed, as well as a change in the behavior of the citizens. There is always a small minority who continue to disobey the road traffic code. In cooperation with the municipal police and the traffic police, we continue to try to improve the situation… If we see that this measure is effective, we intend to extend it to other roads as well…”
