A readiness exercise was held at the Chliapas to Koila gas station

--

The exercise was carried out in the context of the cooperation of DEPA EMPORIAS with the Fire brigade for emergency management.

The operation, with a high degree of difficulty, included dealing with a gas leak and fire at the gas station, during work, as well as extricating an injured worker, a member of the crew. Fire trucks, ambulances and firefighters, fully equipped, arrived at the premises of the FISIKON gas station to stop the gas leak, extinguish the fire that broke out in the building, and extricate the injured worker.

This was followed by statements from the head of the Air Transport Department of DEPA Emporia, Mr. Petros Panos and the Commander of the Fire Services of the Prefecture of Kozani, fire chief Gikas Kambouridis.

Readiness Exercise Held At Hliapas To Koilo Station

“Our priority at DEPA EMPORIAS is always safety, which is why we conduct regular preparedness exercises at our facilities and FISIKON gas stations. The last exercise we carried out, in collaboration with the Kozani Fire Service, was a success and showed that the staff is well trained in dealing with emergencies,” said Mr. Panou.

“We have effectively completed a preparedness and cooperation exercise, with the aim of training the staff of both the Kozani Fire Service and the staff at the Jetoil Chliapas FISIKON gas station for the timely and effective response to a gas leak and fire incident with rescue,” said the fire chief in turn Gikas Kambouridis.
