The potential of technology that can improve people’s lives was highlighted by Tasos Vassiliadis, CEO of Joist Innovation Park, speaking in the OT studio, on the sidelines of the leading exhibition for innovation and technology Beyond 2024, which is being held at the International Exhibition in Thessaloniki.

“We have already set up a company in India with Enterprise Greece which will transfer the know-how of the Joist innovation park to India (we have also signed a memorandum of cooperation), initially in Mumbai, the extroversion of the Greek innovation ecosystem is steadily increasing, India is a very advanced country technologically,” he said.

The pioneer robot

“Over 10% of the region’s population has moved to the technology park we have introduced in Thessaly, we give space to startups, we organize events, we transfer innovation to businesses in the province, we support them in every way to find solutions to the problems they face. We want to develop a robot for the Larissa hospital which will collect data (e.g. temperature) of children hospitalized in pediatric surgery while also reading fairy tales to the children, we have already mapped the data”, pointed out Mr. Vassiliadis.

Investors

“We are discussing for Venture Capitals from Greece and abroad to come and invest, we support companies in need of equipment, we are actually now evaluating companies”, he concluded.
