K. Floros is free with restrictive conditions – Condition not to come closer than 50 meters to Vassilis Grammenos

It was an occasion the debate in the Plenary of the Parliament of the lifting of the immunity of the president of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopouloswhose case involved defamation through a false social network account submitted by a Navy SEAL officer.

Mr. Floros, whose father had filed the lawsuit against Mr. Velopouloshad asked to take the floor in the Plenary, however, the regulation did not allow it and he was not given it, reacting to the petition of the parliamentary representative of the Hellenic Solution, Constantinos Chitas.

According to information, in the Plenary there was a verbal confrontation between Mr. Floros and Mr. Grammenos. The same information states that Mr. Floros reacted by shouting at Mr. Chita that “that will be decided by the judges“, Mr. Grammenos replied with heavy characterizations.

According to the same information, Mr. Grammenos had testified lawsuit against the father of Mr. Floros for defamation through the press and insult.

The self-inflicted felony and the regulation of the Parliament

Until now, the Parliament’s regulation did not provide for such behaviors, while this is the first time that a member of parliament has been detained by the security of the Parliament and taken to GADA.
The article 157 of the Criminal Code was activated from the first moment on behalf of the Speaker of the Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas. Beyond the self-inflicted felonyalso provided for the removal of civil rights, but from 2019 and after its amendment, this not provided.

That which now applies to Regulation of the Parliament is that Mr. Floros will not be able to come to the Parliament for 15 days and therefore will lose 50% of his parliamentary compensation.
