The 2024 budget of the Municipality of Heraklion was also approved by the control service of the Decentralized Administration of Crete.

In his statement, the Mayor Alexis Kalokairinos thanked the executives of the Decentralized Administration of Crete for the immediacy with which they acted and emphasized:

“A difficult chapter that we were asked to face from the first day of our Municipal Authority’s tenure, has been successfully closed. We avoided extremely unfavorable situations, stabilized the ground, brought the required balance and now we are entering a development trajectory. We focus on our work, on taking advantage of every opportunity, on the struggle to improve the daily life and quality of life of the residents of our Municipality. Heraklion has prospects. It has momentum. Our country and its people have potential. Today, we start.”

The Mayor of Heraklion did not fail to thank once again all those who worked for this result, the Deputy Mayor of Finance Giorgos Agrimanakis, the General Secretary Maria Skrafnakis, the official colleagues of the Municipality, the Special Advisor Spyros Dokianakis, the Deputy Mayors and all the members of Municipal Group, the President of IT&D Dimitris Stamatis, the Managing Director and the executives of the Fund, as well as the executives of the OTA Department. of the Ministry of Interior who supported the Municipality of Heraklion in this process.
