A few days ago, Nikos Aliagas was the host of the Olympic Flame Touching Ceremony in Ancient Olympia. Today (25.04.2024) he was in Messolonghi and participated in the Olympic Torch Relay.

Nikos Aliagas has never hidden his origin from Messolonghi and even makes sure to highlight it often. The Greek presenter – known for his career in French television – participated in the Olympic torch relay and found himself in his… special homeland.

Nikos Aliagas phey the Olympic Flame from the altar which had been set up in Messolonghi, on the… route to the Kallimarmaro Stadium, to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The official welcome of the Olympic Flame took place in the presence of local Authorities, the Olympic Committees of Greece and France, athletes and a large crowd. The event was accompanied by the Philharmonic of the Municipality, under the direction of Chief Musician Dimitris Tsiandas, which played the Olympic Anthem, the National Anthem of Greece and the National Anthem of France.

Nikos Aliagas took the Flame from the altar and heard the “bravos” of those present. In fact, he also gave his hand to the Paralympic champion of bench lifting, Spyros Lachanas.

We remind you that Thursday (25.04.2024) is the penultimate day of the Torch Relay in Greece. After her journey for 11 days on Greek soil and after receiving an enthusiastic welcome everywhere, it’s time for the Olympic Flame to be delivered to the delegation of the “Paris 2024” Organizing Committee.

The Delivery Ceremony idone on Friday, April 26, at 18:30 at the Panathenaic Stadium with Nana Mouschouri playing a central role, while Nikos Aliagas will be the presenter.
