Customs inspectors of the AADE, in its port Piraeus.

Specifically, container originating from Ecuador with a final destination of Croatiandeclared with a cargo of fertilizers, was impounded on suspicion of having narcotics.

During the inspection by the self-propelled X-ray vehicle, there was an indication of the existence of bags with materials of different density, samples of which were sent to the Chemistry for analysis, where it was detected cocaine.

Following this, they seized:

– 500 bags of a gross weight of 10 tons and 500 kilograms, which contained fertilizer mixed with leaf shavings of raw cocaine.

– 400 bags of fertilizer with a gross weight of 14 tons, used as a means of concealment inside the container.

The investigation continues to identify persons involved in the trafficking of large quantities of narcotics both in Greece and in the European Union.
