The Panhellenic Conference on “Pedagogy and Education in Conditions of Crisis and Transition in the 21st Century” has completed its work

On Saturday, April 13, his work was completed Panhellenic Conference with subject “Pedagogy and Education in Conditions of Crisis and Transition to the 21stThe century”, which was organized by the Pedagogical Department of Elementary Education of the University of Western Macedonia, in collaboration with: the Pedagogical Department of Kindergarten Teachers of the University of Western Macedonia, the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Western Macedonia, the “Humanistic Research” Institute of PAKEK “Timenos ” of the University of Western Macedonia, the “Pedagogical Studies and Innovative Educational Practices” Laboratory (PaiMeKEP) of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Western Macedonia, the “Lifelong Education-Social Policy” Laboratory of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, of the University of Western Macedonia and the Directorate of Primary Education of Florina.

The Conference was held at the premises of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SKAEP) in Florina and was attended by academics and researchers, active teachers, postdoctoral and doctoral researchers, graduates, postgraduate students and graduate/undergraduate students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The participants attended 4 keynote speeches by high-profile guest speakers, who addressed issues that are focal points for Pedagogy and Education in the 21st centuryThe century. Specifically, the professor of the University of Salzburg, Mr. Vasilios Baros, highlighted dimensions of the refugee crisis, the professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Bikos, presented issues related to the operation of the modern school, while from the same University, the professor Ms. Anastasia Dimitriou introduced issues of sustainable and sustainable development in the light of the education of active citizens. Finally, Professor Mr. Georgios Papagiannakis, from the University of Crete, developed issues of Genetic Artificial Intelligence and their utilization in education. In addition, 85 oral presentations were presented at the Conference.

A point of reference for the Conference was also the strong interest and participation of the students of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, who also handled the procedural and organizational part of the Conference with responsibility, consistency and courage, contributing significantly to its success.
