They had committed a total of 5 thefts from elderly homes in Harilaou and Analipsi

Cases of theft from homes for the elderly in the areas of Charilaou and Analipsi were investigated by the Thessaloniki police. A total of 10 nationals were identified as perpetrators, who, pretending to be technical employees, entered the above houses. In this way, they managed to steal sums of money, gold and jewelry, the total value of which exceeds 175,000 euros.

In detail, in a statement, the police state:

After a methodical and thorough investigation by police officers of the Security Department of Harilaou – Analipsios, cases of theft against the elderly, which took place in areas of responsibility of the concerned Service, were discovered.

For the cases, case-by-case cases were filed against a total of ten (10) nationals aged between 22 and 58 years, for simple theft and complicity.

As emerged from the police investigation, during the period from the end of August 2023 to the end of January 2024, the above, pretending to be technical employees, went to homes for the elderly and after entering the interior, removed money, gold and jewelry.

Using the above method, five (5) cases of theft were committed in which sums of money, gold pounds, jewelry and valuables with a total value exceeding 175,000 euros were taken.

The filed cases will be submitted to the Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Thessaloniki.
