“Politically and criminally responsible” about what happens in the churches during Holy Week, Adonis Georgiadis characterized Kyriakos Velopoulos.

The above accusations were launched by the Minister of Health in the wake of the statements of the president of the Hellenic Solution from the floor of the Parliament, according to which those who voted for the same-sex marriage law should be barred from entering.

Speaking to SKAI, Mr. Georgiadis emphasized that Kyriakos Velopoulos incited citizens to violence against those who voted for the same-sex marriage law. For this reason, he emphasized, in the event that something happens to anyone, I hold him responsible, for whatever happens to me, a member of the New Democracy or another party, said the minister.

In fact, at another point the minister, characterized Velopoulos’ attitude as a “sin”. as – as claimed – “he is using Holy Week, the holiest period for the Orthodox, for his political gain. It’s a sin and he should go to confession for it.”

Concluding, referring to the shameful incident with the beating in the Parliament, Mr. Georgiadis once again accused Kyriakos Velopoulos, as he said “he hastened to absolve his MP”.

However, in the case that Vassilis Grammenos cursed the family and the mother of Constantinos Floros, then this too is impermissible: “Inconceivable that the president of a party would not punish someone who cursed someone else’s mother”. This is a “shameful picture”, said the minister and added: “My fellow citizens who voted for these people, should see the picture and ask themselves if they believe that their vote was valid. At the ballot box we don’t send messages, we don’t make fun, we don’t show off because everything we do at the ballot box brings us back to our lives”.
