The workers of the Thessaly Region about the establishment, Water Management Organization of Thessaly in the form of a Limited Company. At the same time, Mr SEPEATH held a rally in the forecourt of the Thessaly Region Administration in the Prefecture Square declaring that their struggle will continue.
“Today we have a protest rally due to the passage of the bill in Parliament. We have been promised that an amendment will be made for the employees of the Region of Thessaly and the Decentralized Administrations, that they will not leave automatically and will be on secondment”said the president of the Workers Association of Thessaly Region, Petros Skampouras.
As he continued, “It’s not what we asked for, but it’s a better development than the previous situation”.
Regarding the creation of ODYTH he stated that, “we hope that people will continue to fight because the matter is not over for us. With whatever legal means we have, we will try to stop this process of the organization in the form of a Limited Company and to be in the form of a Public Body.
Water is a social good and cannot be managed by an anonymous company. All the agencies are with us and the opposition has sent letters of support and we will continue our fight.”
Finally, Mr. Skampouras called on the people not to back down as “citizens have the greatest power”, while he mentioned that a resolution has been created on the change.org page, where signatures are being gathered.
