Krystallia Armenaki Evritissa, a candidate for the European Parliament with PASOK-KINAL, visited Komotini on Wednesday, April 24, where she visited services and gave a speech at 19:00 at the Labor Center. She spoke about her candidacy earlier on radio Chronos 87.5fm and Municipality Bakirtzakis.
She explained that her involvement with PASOK started from her youth and the Student Movement, however this is the first time she is running for office, while she emphasized that she has been recruited by N. Androulakis as an executive of the central committee to support the election campaign: “It’s a fight I’m happy to do without considering, I’m telling you this, electability. The dominant feeling is, essentially, to record the problems I heard while participating in the party in the previous years.”
National Defense is the first concern
Krystallia Armenaki added that National Defense and National Security were the main reason for her involvement in politics from a young age.
“For me, the dominant project is, in this electoral battle and in general in my political engagement and participation, the safeguarding of the country’s national and sovereign rights,” he noted. She emphasized that no sector in the country can develop if as a country and as citizens we do not have what she described as the highest of goods: national defense and security. “We should defend our national ideas and our national sovereign rights with a peaceful sign but always with a patriotic feeling,” he said.
Migration flows as a modern form of threat
Much emphasis was placed on the use of migratory flows as an alternative, modern form of threat that has been used by the neighboring country.
He emphasized that the candidates should defend the Greek, and by extension the European borders. He analyzed that if there was a European consciousness of European borders it would be countered by the European conditions taking place another political and legislative action regarding the gates of the EU.
He claimed that the new pact on migration and asylum does not secure the countries of the southern side of the EU in terms of migration flows. He analyzed that the problem arises from the fact that it will take 2 years to implement the pact.
She stated that she is against sending equipment to Ukraine and weakening the border.
“The sending of a weapon system to Ukraine which: firstly has not been discussed with any other parliamentary party and therefore without the knowledge of the rest of the parliamentary political spaces is being sent to Ukraine, a fact which we learn from the Ukrainian media in the vast majority of cases, is no simply, quite condescendingly, unacceptable, but we have come to say nationally dangerous,” the candidate claimed.
