An order to investigate the reasons for the removal of materials and soil from the site of the collision of the two trains in Tempi, as well as the paving of the area, was given by the deputy prosecutor of appeals of Larisa, Katerina Matsi, in the context of the judicial investigation into the train accident in Tempi.

According to the information, a deadline of 20 days has been given to complete the preliminary examination in order to find out who or which persons were at the site of the accident from the first days until the area was covered with tar and gravel. It is also being investigated who or who and why they gave an order to remove the soil and other materials from the accident site, before the judicial authorities were involved, and without informing and obtaining permission, and whether a report was drawn up on the removal of the materials, or was it recorded the energy.

In the context of the investigation by the Appellants’ vice-prosecutor, it is requested, among other things, to attach relevant documents from the Greek police and the fire service, as well as any other service involved in any way in the incident, with which a clear answer will be given as to who was physically present at the scene (to for this purpose to make use of the existing photographic material in the case file) and who gave the order to remove the above materials.
