Arnautakis: Violence and school bullying have no place in our society – Event by “Smile of the Child” on bullying

“Nefelis’s thoughts” which aims to give substance and voice to the feelings of every child who experiences bullying.

In his intervention, the Regional Governor Stavros Arnautakis congratulated the present President of the Organization “The Smile of the Child” Costas Yiannopoulos, the staff, as well as the teachers and also the parents of the students themselves who work together to deal with the negative social phenomenon.

Mr. Arnautakis mentioned that for the Region of Crete, every effort aimed at prevention is another field for the development of partnerships, especially those concerning prevention policies for the new generation.

Yours is a more beautiful world, emphasized the District Governor, addressing the hundreds of students, don’t allow anyone to “spoil” it. Leave no room for any phenomenon of violence, and above all leave no room in your heart and mind for violence.

Mr. Arnautakis pointed out that school bullying is not a simple matter and we have an obligation to support every effort that will identify the weaknesses of the system and look for opportunities to improve the educational work and the educational process.

After the end of the projection, psychologists of the Organization coordinated an open discussion with the students. Also present at the event were representatives of the Church, Deputy Regional Governors Nikos Syrigonakis and Georgia Milaki, representatives of the Self-Government, public education.
