A lawsuit filed by a parent of a victim of the accident in Tempi is referred to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court.

The appeal of P. Aslanidis – father of his victim fatal accident at tempi- against the rejection decision of the District Attorney who filed the lawsuit filed by the relatives of the victims against Christos Triandopoulos for the accusations of stackingaccepted the Larissa Appeals Prosecutor.

At the same time, as broadcast by ERT, a preliminary examination was ordered by the Deputy Prosecutor of Criminal Larissa for dereliction of duty or fostering a criminal.

It is worth noting that these developments arose after the intervention of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgia Adelinis, to the Director of the Larissa Appeals Prosecutor’s Office, through which they request the investigation “any disciplinary responsibility of the Prosecutor of First Instance, who issued a substantively dismissive order for denounced Ministers, as being involved in the Tempo Case, in violation of Article 86 of the Constitution and Law 3126/2003, Article 4 § 4 on the criminal liability of Ministers” .

It is reminded that the site of the Tempe crash had been cordoned off, resulting – as the relatives complained – in the alteration of the space. In fact, in the lawsuit, a direct reference was made against the then deputy minister rather than the prime minister, Christos Triandopoulos.

Triandopoulos: I was not involved in the “bazoma” of Tempi

The Deputy Minister of Climate Change and Civil Protection categorically denied in his last statements, Christos Triandopoulos their allegations that he himself had any involvement in shaping the site of the Tempe accidentcharacterizing them “completely baseless” stressing that his presence in the region had only a coordinating role while the officials who participated in the coordination decided on the interventions that were made.

At the same time, he characterized her motion of no confidence against the government for the case of Tempes, as “extended attempt at political exploitation of a tragedy without a trace of measure or limit”.

In his intervention, during the discussion of the motion of no confidence in the Parliament, Mr. Triandopoulos rejected the accusations of an attempt to cover up the tragic accident by the government, speaking of “misleading, reproduction of fake news and lies, with unproven scenarios and mud with a political face with the sole aim of party benefits”.

As Mr. Triandopoulos said, “The night of the train accident was one of the most difficult times for those who were there and every report is made with the utmost respect for the victims, their relatives and the community.”

“Without a doubt, we cannot feel in the slightest the pain of the relatives of the victims who expressed themselves with anger and reasonable questions which want answers and of course justice.

We must all stand in the face of the pain, with modesty, humility and bowed head, but not in the face of those third parties who use this tragic accident for political gains, but not in the face of deception, lies, unproven scenarios and mud with a political face“, emphasized Mr. Triandopoulos and added:

The motion of no confidence culminates in an expanded attempt to politically exploit a tragedy without a trace of measure or limit. A methodical effort aimed at the government to shake the smooth course followed by our country.

You’re trying to build a cover-up narrative, when all is fair and moving forward with times far removed from your past, when all we care about is the full light on everything and everyone.

Your concern is conspiracy theory, the unfounded scenario, the fake news, the lies to target the government».
