In the elections for the Board, DAKE received 307 votes and occupies four seats in the new Board, the SYNEK faction (adjacent to SYRIZA) 140 votes and two seats, the KKE-adjacent Educators’ Competitive Rally 119 votes and two seats, the upcoming PASOK Progressive Union of Teachers 101 votes and one seat. In the Board of Directors the Intervention will not be represented, as it received 80 votes and does not take a seat. In relation to the 2022 elections, the winner is the Educators’ Competitive Rally, which wins an additional seat, which the Progressive Union of Teachers lost.
In the elections to elect representatives to the OLME conference, DAKE also emerged as the first force with 41.4%, electing 4 out of 8 representatives. Two seats are won by SYNEK, one each by ASE and PEK, while Intervention does not elect a representative.
In a statement, the Ioannina Steering Committee of New Democracy congratulates the liberal faction of teachers in public high schools and high schools for its first and great victory.
