In the mobility scheme for staff at all levels of school education, the European Job Shadowing (Erasmus+) action provides the opportunity for teachers to spend a period abroad in a partner school. The teachers from the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “G. Govone” studied the organization and administration of the school and saw closely the implementation of the educational programs and the teaching methods applied.

During the mobility, it took place:

● Presentation of the 1st General High School and a tour of its facilities, presentation of the laboratory equipment and student projects.

● Fruitful dialogue with the school teachers. Discussions on the possibilities of the eTwinning and Erasmus programs and exploration of future cooperation between the two schools.

●Monitoring of exemplary lessons organized by the teachers of the 1st General Lyceum of Corfu in the courses of English (Vera Konidaris), Latin (Konstantinos Beis) and Ancient Greek (Angela Georgotas, Evangelia Smbita).

From the interaction as a whole, useful conclusions emerged regarding the differences and similarities of the two educational systems both in terms of teaching subjects and in organizational issues of educational and school life. The positive impressions of the Italian female teachers about the school laid the foundations for a future collaboration in the context of a possible twinning of the two schools.

The aim of such programs is to lay the foundations for long-term cooperation between schools that implement student exchanges and are interested in good practices for the benefit of the entire educational community.
