Out of the European elections, the Spartans: “Kassidiaris is the real leader” the reasoning of the Supreme Court

On the grounds that the real leader of the party of Spartans is the imprisoned Golden Dawn member Ilias Kasidiaris the judges of the Supreme Court decided to exclude the “Spartians” from the European elections of June 9.

Ilias Kasidiaris and the 11 deputies of the Spartans, “actually offered their party as the cloak of a new political party to Ilias Kasidiaris, making it easier for him to circumvent the eligibility restrictions set by the electoral legislation”, point out, among others, the Areopagites in of the A1 Political Department of the Supreme Court decision on the declaration of the parties and coalitions of parties that can participate in the upcoming European elections of June 9, 2024.

One of the main reasons for the exclusion of the Spartans was the criminal prosecution against its 11 deputies for the criminal act of aiding and abetting voter fraud, acts allegedly committed during the parliamentary elections of June 25, 2023.

The Areopagites out of the 122 pages of their decision, 86 pages are about the reasons why the Spartan party was cut, recounting the entire journey, action and statements of Ilias Kasidiaris in the Golden Dawn party, but also for the subsequent period after the founding of the Spartans, as well as his condemnation.

Referring to the actions of Ilias Kasidiaris, the Areopagites point out that in all the closed meetings he organized, “a large number of prominent executives and candidate MPs of the GOLDEN DAWN participated, some of whom are still today MPs of the party “SPARTIATES”.

And the judges add:

“It is demonstrated that Ilias Kasidiaris, the real leader of the “SPARTATES” party, which replaces the “GOLDEN DAWN” never disapproved or demobilized, even in the slightest, the previous – as a leader of the GOLDEN DAWN – hate speech, the violent and his racist action, within the criminal mechanism of the aforementioned party, copying the institutional mechanisms of the Greek state, the intended policy of destroying the democratic institutions of the rule of law and the disapproval of the rights and freedoms recognized by democracy”.

At the same time, the A1 Political Department of the Supreme Court states:

“In this case it appears that the party “SPARTIATES”, whose real leader is Ilias Kasidiaris, was sentenced to a total sentence of 13 years and 6 months for the crime of joining and directing the criminal organization “LAIKOS SYNDESMOS – GOLDEN DAWN” and the illegal possession of a firearm, which he carries out, promotes a policy that does not respect democracy and aims to weaken and destroy the democratic polity and the institutions of the rule of law, in particular by the use of violence or the incitement to violence, as well as the justification thereof , the promotion of totalitarian ideologies, the spread of racist and intolerant ideas and xenophobia, the approval of crimes against humanity, hatred against persons and groups, actions and declarations that threaten the peaceful coexistence of social groups in the country”.

And the Areopagites conclude:

“Following the above, the “SPARTATES” party must not be declared and therefore not participate in the elections for the nomination of the members of the European Parliament on 9-6-2024″.
