After the “block” of the Supreme Court on the “Spartia” party for the European elections of June 9, many questions have arisen regarding where the votes of those who supported them in the national elections will end up.
The specific question was also asked of Stefanos Kasselakis’ cousin, Vassilis, who is included in the European ballot of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance. Speaking to Kontra, Mr. Kasselakis specifically stated:
“Look, the paradox is that governments whose policies have led to the rise of such far-right movements are trying to ban them. What everyone votes for, voting is an expression of freedom and independent thinking, so what everyone votes for is good. They are welcome”, answered the SYRIZA MEP candidate and underlined: “From then on, the ND with three failed attempts at legislation finally did and they were banned by the Areopagus”.
“The blame games, who sent-who didn’t send (a memo), I think are unproductive for political dialogue,” he told the television station.
“We don’t want their voters,” says S. Kasselakis
However, the president of the party and his cousin, Stefanos Kasselakis, seems to have a different opinion. It is recalled that the president of SYRIZA referred through a post on social media to the question of whether the votes of the Spartans are desirable, writing a clear “no”.
In particular, he wrote: “The battle between ND and Velopoulos has begun for who will win the voters of the neo-Nazi “Spartiats”. To the question “do you want the voters of the Spartans?”, my answer is clear: NO.
