“Let’s not go back to the stone years of arbitration…”

He provoked with his whistles at “Athanassios Diakos”, the referee from Epirus Alexandros Katsikogiannis.

It’s not that he gave the most whistles to the PAOK team, something common for Greek referees when they play some of the big teams in the league, it was his general behavior against Lamia.

He didn’t “yellow” any Dikephalos player, while out of nowhere he sent off a Lamia player. Especially Samata’s late marking on Giannucci was the definition of a straight red if there is a Referee Committee to see it!

Amaral’s explosion in the 89′-90′ phase was partly justified, as he didn’t even touch his opponent. He then found the opportunity for the referee to send him off and then defiantly showed 10 minutes of delay. As if that wasn’t enough, he also “cleaned” Slivka who was on the bench, while in 13 minutes of stoppage time he gave more and more fouls in favor of Lamia!

He went to do the same in the first part but it didn’t work out. The delays were initially 4 minutes and in this exact period of time Lamia scored. He held on for as long and blew the whistle when Lamia took possession after a phase that PAOK did not complete.

So after the game the President of Lamia Sakis Tsiknis speaking to Cosmote TV all he asked for was respect! “We want respect for our sweat” said Mr. Tsiknis, among others, who as a representative of PAE had requested from the first match with Panathinaikos that foreign referees play in Lamia’s games as well. “This arbitration should have been taken off the charts yesterday…”, Mr. Tsiknis emphasized, asking only that they not go to the stone years of the arbitration.
