It starts today, April 25, the festive hours operation of commercial storeswhile on Sunday April 28 the shops will be open.
The hours proposed by the trade associations are continuous, from 9 am to 9 pm for today and tomorrow and until 5 pm on Saturday, while for Sunday April 28 they propose that small shops operate from 11 am until 4 in the afternoon.
From the side of Business and Retail Association of Greece proposes for Sunday, to its members, i.e. the large stores, department stores and chain stores to operate from 11 in the morning until 8 in the evening.
As regards to Holy Week opening hours, all shops will operate continuously from 9 am to 9 pm from Holy Monday to Holy Thursday, while for Good Friday small shops are proposed by trade associations to operate from 1 pm to 7 pm afternoon while SELPE suggests to its members to operate from 1 in the afternoon until 9 in the evening.
For Holy Saturday, SELPE suggests opening the shops from 9 am to 9 pm, while the trade associations suggest opening hours from 9 am to 3 pm.
On Easter Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the shops will be closed.
On Tuesday they will be closed due to the postponement of the May Day celebration.
The festive hours of the Trade Association of Patras
As announced by Trade Association Patras the stores will operate as follows:
- Palm Sunday 28/04/2024: 11.00 – 18.00
- Holy Monday 29/04/2024: 9.00 – 14.00 and 17.30 – 21.00
- Holy Tuesday 30/04/2024: 9.00 – 14.00 and 17.30 – 21.00
- Holy Wednesday 01/05/2024: 9.00 – 14.00 and 17.30 – 21.00
- Maundy Thursday 02/05/2024: 09.00 – 21.00
- Good Friday 03/05/2024: 13.00 – 19.00
- Holy Saturday 04/05/2024: 09.00 – 15.00
- Easter Sunday 05/05/2024: Holiday
- Monday 06/05/2024: Holiday
- Tuesday 07/05/2024: Holiday (due to the transfer of the May Day holiday).
