In the text of its question to the Municipal Authority for today’s meeting of the municipal council, the Alliance of Larissai, refers to the opening of Taki Tsioga Street. Analytically:
“Madam President
We saw in the local electronic and printed press a publication that talked about the transformation of the project which has already started and is financed by the Tritsis program with 11 million euros. The program concerns the change of the project in the section of Chioga street. This is the section for which there was a point of confrontation before the elections, while the faction that is currently in the municipal authority had initially agreed with the project, which had been decided after a thorough consultation. The publication spoke of an intention to modify the project. With the detailed knowledge we have on the matter, we consider the matter extremely serious and ask for a detailed information for both us and all the citizens involved in the matter.
So the Municipal Authority is asked
- What are the reasons that force the change of the project with risk and risk to the implementation of the whole project? It’s about aligning with your pre-election communications campaign or serving the specific “interests” that were the ones making the noise pre-election.
- Is there a traffic study and traffic simulation for the new route? If not, there is a traffic risk that all the traffic in the city will be “blown up”, since the traffic in Anthimou Gazi and in the old Krannonos will get worse, which seems that half of it remains double traffic.
- Does the new engraving have anything to do with what the protesting signatories were asking for? Does Krannonos really remain part of the opening and double circulation? Will you ask the residents of Krannonos who will not be able to leave their homes in this way?
- Are you sure that the serious delays resulting from this change do not endanger such an important project for the city (the project will not be finished in 5 years, if you proceed with these changes)”.
Yours sincerely,
The councilors of the Larissa Alliance
