In the context of the actions of the Directorate of Social Policy of the Municipality of Komotini and on the occasion of International Grandmother’s Daythe Structure Home Assistance Program Aigirou organized an event dedicated to the grandmothers served by the program.

The main purpose of the event was to recognize the precious work and love that grandmothers so generously give every day to their children and their children’s children.

At the same event, while honoring World Children’s Book Day, in collaboration with the Aigirou Kindergarten, the grandmothers told traditional fairy tales to the children and played the traditional game “The Ring”.

The workers of Aid to the Aigirou House donated children’s books for the Kindergarten library and the children made drawings that formed the “Stairway of Love”.

On the occasion of the above event, it was confirmed that the coexistence of the elderly and children has a therapeutic effect, since this contact bridges the generations, while it creates emotion and admiration from the interaction between them.
