Alexia Bakoyannis filed a lawsuit for threats, insults and attempted simple bodily harm against Stefanos Chios, after an unprovoked attack by the editor-journalist.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Chios and he is wanted as part of the manhunt, which ends tomorrow, Friday midnight.
Alexia Bakoyannis, shortly after the serious incident, went to GADA and filed a lawsuit against Stefanos Chios, describing the incident.
According to police sources, everything happened at 2:15 pm on Wednesday. The daughter of Dora Bakoyannis and the late Pavlos Bakoyannis was sitting at an outdoor table of the Athenee restaurant, at the junction of Bucharest and Panepistio streets.
There, Stefanos Chios approached her and, after introducing himself, began to abuse her for no reason and then threatened to hit her with a bottle. The perpetrator was removed from the scene by a police officer escorting Alexia Bakoyannis. Despite this, Chios continued to insult both herself and her mother, Dora Bakoyannis, as well as the rest of her family.
The State Security Sub-Directorate is conducting a preliminary investigation.
According to Mrs. Bakoyannis’ lawsuit, she said to him: “I have no business opening a conversation with you, who have put my dead father on the front page.”
