Tomorrow Thursday from 11:00 in the morning…

The Workers’ Union of Lamia Hospital and the Union of Hospital Doctors of Lamia, issued a joint press release on the problems of Radiology workers and the work stoppage they are planning for protest tomorrow, Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 11:00 in the morning until 14:00 ‘ at noon.

The press release:

The operation of the CT scanner on 24-hour daily duty which supports the 24-hour daily duty of G.N.Lamias, and as is known is one of the most productive departments of the Hospital, as well as the main pillar of diagnosis, is ensured exclusively by the honorarium 4-5 Technologists-Radiologists, while the Organization foresees the number to be at least 15.

This implies:

1. The mental, spiritual and physical exhaustion of the employees in question, who, despite this, during their shift strive for the best service to the patients.

2. The extreme and unacceptable situation that the Service owes them up to 350 days off as well as regular annual leave, violating every rule of the right to work.

3. The impossibility of any educational activity, in order to be able to carry out more techniques with the high-tech Axoniko machines and

Magnetic Tomograph that have been installed in our Hospital.

As the Administration and the relevant institutions turn a deaf ear to the written and oral requests of the CT Radiologists, a 3-hour work stoppage will be held on Thursday 4/25/24 from 11.00am – 2.00pm.”
