Constantinos Floros apologizes tomorrow for a felony – He remains in custody – Newsbomb – News

The independent MP received a deadline to apologize tomorrow morning Konstantinos Floros who attacked the Hellenic Solution MP Basil Grammeno turning the Parliament into a “ring”. Until his apology, Mr. Floros will remain a prisoner in GADA, while a felony criminal prosecution was brought against him for violence against a member of parliament during the exercise of his duties (article 157PC).

The incredible episode occurred during the hearing of the immunity lifting of the president of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopoulos, regarding defamation through a false social network account submitted by Mr. Floros’ father.

The independent MP had requested to take the floor in the Plenary in response to a report by the parliamentary representative of the Hellenic Solution Constantinos Chitas, but the regulation did not allow it. “That will be decided by the judges” Constantinos Floros allegedly shouted to Vassilis Chitas, provoking the intervention of Vassilis Grammenos who replied: “shut it up, you trash”, while he continued with other heavy characterizations. As soon as the two men left the Plenary, Mr. Floros allegedly attacked him, grabbed him by the neck, punched him and threw him to the floorwhile with the intervention of men from the guard, Vassilis Grammenos was taken to the clinic of the Parliament and first aid was provided to him.

Constantinos Floros was immediately brought by the guard of the Parliament and led with the process of self-immolation to GADA, as, as the president of the Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, ruled, he has violated article 157 of the Criminal Code according to which it is a felony to commit violence against a member of parliament in the course of his duties.

All the parties of the Parliament condemned the incident, while sources of the Hellenic Solution characterized the attack received by Vassilis Grammenos by Konstantinos Floros as unprovoked and deny that there was any dialogue between them.

What does Floros’ lawyer say?

THE lawyer of Mr. Floros, Vasso Pantazis spoke to Newsbomb.gr about the events and about her principal’s position on them.

“An isolated, unfortunate incident, this whole dispute has a personal background, of course it has no political analysis, I cannot understand why there is a political speculation at this time,” he said.

“We live in a society where the criminal legislature has provided for removal of the wrongdoer when there is justifiable indignation for specific acts,” he added.

He also made statements to Newsbomb.gr Mr. Efstathios Floros, father of the MP.

“They caused this episode to my son because he is a witness in the lawsuit and all that was uttered is exactly the vocabulary used by Velopoulos, Grammenos and other party officials. What do you expect from such people who ask the Greek people to vote for them. They will eat a third karpazia after Karatzaferis and Kammenos now with Velopoulos”.
