More specifically, he recorded:

  • for PM10 maximum concentration 1510.108 µg/m^3 and average concentration 97.22 µg/m^3
  • for PM2.5 a maximum concentration of 288.41 μg/m^3 and an average concentration of 23.03 μg/m^3

According to the World Health Organization:

  • For PM10, the maximum permissible daily limit is 15 µg/m^3, while 24/hour exposure to more than 45 µg/m^3 for more than 3-4 days a year is associated with serious health problems.
  • For PM2.5, the maximum permissible daily limit is only 5 μg/m^3, while 24/hour exposure to more than 15 μg/m^3 for more than 3-4 days a year is responsible for problems in cardiorespiratory function .

The Chamber of Arcadia recommends that, during such phenomena, businesses take the appropriate organizational or even technical measures, after assessing the risks especially for those working in open spaces, and it is recommended to use personal protective equipment such as masks.
