At the meeting of the enlarged Board of Directors of the Federation of Professional Craftsmen and Merchants of the Prefecture of Heraklion held at its offices OVENIwas summoned and attended the MEP candidate of PA.SO.K.- KIN.AL. Yannis Kourakis. The meeting was also attended by the President of GSEVEE, Mr. George Cavathas.

During the meeting they were raised by its President OVENI Mr. Babis Lekakis and the other members of the Board, all the serious problems that concern small and medium enterprises, such as taxation, insurance, financing, NSRF programs, etc.

In his statement, Mr. Kourakis particularly emphasized that small and medium-sized businesses have always been the pillar of the Greek economy, which is why he and the political space he represents have always and continue to strongly and consistently support small- and medium-sized businesses and workers.

Also, the suspect MEP referred to the package of measures proposed by PA.SO.K.-KIN.AL. for strong small and medium entrepreneurship and among others are:

Special financing lines from the Recovery Fund, for small and medium-sized investments in innovation, energy adaptation, digital transformation.

Funding from the NSRF for the relocation of SMEs to industrial parks etc.

Incentives for new full-time hires, with a subsidy for four years of employer social security contributions.

Three-year exemption from profit tax, as an incentive for the creation of new business models (with collaborations and networking of small and medium enterprises).

Establishment of an unencumbered account for businesses.

Reduction of fees in online banking transactions.

Incentives for the installation of photovoltaic panels.

After thanking them for the cooperation, Mr. Kourakis pointed out “We have a comprehensive plan to support the backbone of the Greek economy, that of small and medium entrepreneurship.”
