The Directorate of Primary Education of Larissa, in collaboration with the members of the four-member Action Group for the Prevention and Counteraction of School Violence and Bullying, organized this Wednesday morning, an interesting training day on the topic “School violence and bullying: prevention, intervention and good practices in the school and the family”, in the auditorium of the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa – G. I. Katsigra Museum.
The Conference was open to the public and its aim was to train the teachers of the School Units of the Directorate of Primary Education of Larissa, who will be called upon to handle incidents of Intra-School Violence and Bullying, as well as to inform and raise the awareness of the parents/guardians of students and students of the Primary and Secondary School Units, but also of the local community as a whole, in this crucial issue.
The invited speakers, with deep knowledge of the phenomenon and with many years of experience in dealing with it, helped the educational community and everyone interested to understand it more deeply, to search for and apply the best practices in dealing with it.
In his greeting, the Deputy Mayor of Education of the Municipality of Larissa, Mr. Iraklis Gergiokas, referred to the serious dimension that the phenomenon of intra-school violence has taken in the area of Larissa, while he noted that funds from the Municipality’s budget are expected to be allocated to actions to deal with the phenomenon .
