OEBE Arcadia organizes “Training of employers and employees on security technician duties in their companies – Programs 2024“

The Federation of Professional Craftsmen and Merchants of Arcadia (OEBEA) for the 18th consecutive year undertakes the realization of these seminars.

WHO IS IT ABOUT?

According to the provisions of articles 10, 11, 13, 22, of the Code of Laws for Health and Safety at Work (HSE), companies that fall under categories B and C of risk and employ less than 50 workers are allowed to undertake the employer himself the obligations of the security technician in his company, as long as he has the qualifications provided by the legislation and attends a 35 or 10 hour training course respectively. The programs in question are approved by the Directorate of Health and Safety at Work, while the terms and conditions for their execution are determined by the ministerial decisions:

• YA 39278/1823/2018 “Employers’ and employees’ training on security technician duties in B and C category enterprises” (Government Gazette B’ 3001)

• YA 59730/2576/2019 “Amendment of No. 39278/1823/2018 “Training of employers and employees on safety technician duties in B’ and C’ category enterprises” (B’ 3001) – Transfer of competences of the Minister of Labor and of Social Affairs to the General Secretary of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs” (Government Gazette B’ 4762)

• YA 52725/1990/2020 “Amendment of No. 39278/1823/2018 “Training of employers and employees on security technician duties in B’ and C’ category enterprises” (B’ 3001), as amended by the a. 59730/2576/2019 (B’ 4762)”

This certificate is now a necessary condition for any company that wishes to seal personnel statements with the Labor Inspectorate.

UPDATED ELEMENTS

– The classes have a number of participants of 20-25 people.

They are carried out once the sections are completed and approved after 3 months by the Ministry of Labour.

– The seminars are financed by the employers themselves:

• DANGER CATEGORY B: The duration is for 7 days (daily work is 5 hours).

• DANGER CATEGORY C: The duration is for 2 days (daily work is 5 hours).
