The Association of Judicial Clerks of Larisa announced its participation in the sectoral strike announced by the Federation of Judicial Clerks of Greece for today, Wednesday, April 24, with its members protesting the controversial bill regarding the reform of the judicial map of the country, proceeding to a rally in entrance of the Larissa Courthouse and requesting his withdrawal.

According to the judicial officials, the bill does not address any of the perennial problems of the judicial services, such as the tragic understaffing, the significant deficiencies in infrastructure, the low salaries of judicial officials and all kinds of obstacles to citizens’ access to justice, while at the same time it is against the needs of the social majority and will further harm the rights of judicial officers and those “dealing” with Justice.

Her statements are typical Aristeas Vassiliousecretary of the Association of Judicial Clerks of Larisa, who emphasized that participation in the strike reached 60% against a bill that abolishes 113 judicial services, turning into “traveling troupe” and “nomads” the judicial officers, inconveniencing the citizen and affecting the society.

Judicial officers are saying “no” to the abolition and merger of judicial services, while demanding mass recruitment, practical recognition of their special working conditions and the re-institution of the special conditions allowance.

It is noted that the strike is also supported by ADEDY, while the lawyers of Larissa are moving in the same spirit, who are on a long-term abstention from their duties, while with a tipping point, the Plenary Session of the Presidents of the Bar Associations of Greece proposes to the Boards of Directors of the country’s Bar Associations the universal abstinence of their members until Holy Tuesday, April 30.
