The Holy Provincial Synod of the Church of Crete met today, April 23, 2024, in Heraklion in Session, and dealt with the issues of the agenda.
The Holy Synod was informed of the occurrence of today’s fires in Crete and draws everyone’s attention, especially for the coming summer, in order to minimize the risk of loss of human lives and destruction of the natural environment.
On the occasion of the upcoming celebration of the Holy and Great Week, of the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord, it is hoped that the faithful children of the Church of Crete will pass the Holy Easter with spiritual joy.
Let the death on the cross and the Resurrection of Christ be not only the cause of the salvation of the human race but also the only antidote to any form of violence, criminality and other criminal acts of our times.
