The Regional Committee for Health, Welfare and Social Cohesion of Peloponnese met for the first time, at the headquarters of the Region, in Tripoli, on Tuesday, April 23, with the participation of representatives of all factions.
The President of the Committee, Deputy Governor of Public Health, Chrysovalantis Mellos, made the following statement:
“This Committee deals with Public Health and Social Policy issues concerning the Peloponnese Region. In the foreground we put the smooth operation of all the primary structures of our Region, as we also record any problems that exist.
The purpose of setting up this committee is to speed up the procedures, so that precious time is not wasted in the meetings of the Regional Councils and in this way we hope for better quality results.
Actions are planned, always in consultation with the Regional Governor, Dimitris Ptochos, and soon the citizens will know more details and embrace them. They will concern prevention and public health.”
