The Humanitarian Voluntary Action “Spring 2024

The humanitarian voluntary action “Spring 2024-Bank of Love” to support the regional department of the E.E.S. Argos in view of the Easter holiday.

Students created a group of volunteers and from the beginning of April they started collecting food, after consultation with Ms. Maria Stamatopoulou, head of the Argos regional department of the E.E.S., raising awareness among both the school community and professionals in the area.

In this way, they managed to collect, pack and deliver 25 full parcels of Love for needy families, with tomato paste, rice, spaghetti, milk, soup, lentils, beans, extra virgin olive oil, seed oil, cherry juice, croissants and Easter buns, and all this in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, humanity and sensitivity.

This action was an initiative of the 1st grade Lyceum and was supported by all the students of the school, by the Teachers’ Association and by the Parents’ and Guardians’ Association. The benefit of this action was that the students developed soft skills in planning actions, taking responsibility, teamwork, empathy, communication and above all, selfless volunteering.

· EASA REA for the offer of 36 liters of sour cherry juice.

· UNIQUE GREEK TOURS SA Route for the offer of 25 0.5kg buns.

· The accounting office of Ioannis Deve for the offer of 25 packages of croissants of 5 pcs.

We also thank the Association of Parents and Guardians of the 3rd GEL Argos for the offer of 25 monoliters of seed oil as well as the other individuals for their valuable help.
