Ta Emile Awards they are returning, after four years of absence, and they are coming to Greece for the first time! THE award ceremony that will herald the new era of the legendary European Animation Awards will take place in Syros and in the historic Apollo Theater of Ermoupolis, Monday, September 23as part of this year’s event ANIMASYROS.

After two highly successful events in Lille, France, in 2018 and 2019, the European Animation Awards, named after pioneering French creators Emile Reynaud and Emile Cohl, are being revived by a group of renowned animation professionals from around Europe, with the president of the organizing committee of the awards being the president of ANIMASYROS, Vassilis K. Karamitsanis.

The great celebration of European animation comes again to award the best films of the year, to celebrate the talent and achievements of creators and professionals from more than 30 countries, to highlight the diversity and creativity of the great European animation community.

Detailed information about the new era of the Emile Awards will be presented at two press conferences in June at Animafest Zagreb (Croatia) and Annecy International Animation Film Festival (France).
