On Thursday, April 25, the Olympic Flame on its way to the opening ceremony of the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games will cross the Rio-Antirrio Bridge.
As 2024 marks 20 years of exemplary operation and maintenance of the Bridge, the Olympic torch relay is an opportunity to remember the conditions that prevailed in the Strait before its implementation, the technical difficulties and challenges faced during its design and construction, but also the emotion of all Greeks when the Olympic flame crossed the Bridge for the first time, that unforgettable summer of 2004 which had been marked by many Greek successes.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the concessionaire, a member of the VINCI Highways network, announces the program of the Olympic Flame Reception Ceremony and the Olympic Torch Relay on the Bridge.
