A 38-year-old man was arrested for participating in the “Revenge Syndication Group” terrorist organization

Earlier today, the Anti-Terrorist Service proceeded with the arrest of a 38-year-old man in Patras with the assistance of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the Security Sub-Directorate of Patras.

His arrest took place at noon on Monday, as an arrest warrant was pending against him from the Athens investigator for participation in the terrorist organization “Revenge Syndication Group”. The organization is reminded that they are attributed by EL.AS. five acts of terrorism in Athens, Thessaloniki and Larissa.

In fact, one of them was the sending of a folder laced with explosives to the Thessaloniki Courthouse on February 12. For the same case on February 27, six more people were arrested after a police operation, while four people are also accused. which are confined in prisons.

After his arrest, the 38-year-old is expected to be brought before the competent Judicial Authorities. It is recalled that the file had arrived at the office of the judges of Thessaloniki by mail and was delivered to the office of the President of Appeals on the third floor. The supposed sender was the “Association of Judges and Prosecutors”.

When the agency received it they initially assumed the envelope contained a diary. But then its content raised suspicions and was given for examination. So it was taken to the X-ray machine at the entrance of the courthouse, where it was confirmed that the file contained an explosive device, specifically gelato dynamite, and then the case was taken over by the Anti-Terrorist.
