Arrest of 38-year-old for participation in a terrorist organization

Handcuffs spent the anti-terrorist on Monday morning in 38 years old in Patras to participate in terrorist organisation “Vengeance Coalition Team”.

They were judged last month temporary detaineeswith the consent of the investigating authority and the prosecutor six others for participation in the same terrorist organization, to which they are attributed five acts of terrorism in Athens, Thessaloniki and Larissa.

According to Anti-Terrorism, DNA of one of the six defendants was found on trapped folder with an explosive device, addressed to the President of Appeals of Thessaloniki. The authorities have also arrested a woman who is allegedly related to the placement of explosive devices.

Among those arrested are two active military in the capacity of pyrotechnician. Four of the six defendants denied the indictment against him, one of them, aged 36, accepted only one individual act and the one pyrotechnician stick to it right to remain silent.

In particular, the 36-year-old allegedly only accepted that he was the motorcycle driver who was used as a means of escape, in the bombing of the National Bank in Petralona, ​​denying all the other acts attributed to him. Finally, his young co-accused in the same case, allegedly claimed that she was in her car at the scene of the attack in Petralona, ​​but did not know what was going to happen.

The Anti-Terrorist Service (D.A.E.V.E.B.), with the assistance of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the Sub-Directorate of Security of Patras, identified and arrested in Patras, at noon today (22 April 2024), a 38-year-old citizen, on execution of the relevant Arrest Warrant of the Athens Investigator for participation in the Terrorist Organization “Revenge Conspiracy Group.”
