Fire broke out on Monday afternoon in Paros, specifically in the Pyrgaki area of ​​Parikia. A grassy area on the provincial road Parikia-Naoussa has been engulfed in flames.

According to cyclades24, due to the windflower the fire has reached large proportions, while it is raging in a residential area, with the Firemen fighting the flames.

A little later, they were also sent emergency notifications from 112 to move people away from the area and head towards the beach of Parikia.

Both ground and air forces of the Fire Department are working to extinguish the front. There are 19 firefighters with six vehicles, while a helicopter helps from the air. In addition, the forces are expected to be reinforced with firefighting forces from Naxos. Also, volunteers and local water bodies are helping at the scene.
