Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23, the episode of African dust transport, which is already affecting the country, is expected to peak, while the thermometer is expected to show up to 35 degrees Celsius.

According to the prognostic data of meteo.gr/National Observatory of Athens, on Tuesday, in addition to the greatly increased concentrations of dust that will limit visibility, mud showers are expected to occur mainly in the north and west of the country.

On Wednesday (24/4) the turn of the winds to the west will result in the limitation of dust in the Dodecanese and its progressive removal to the east.

The forecast maps below show:

– With red shades the concentration of dust in the atmosphere during the noon and evening hours of Tuesday.

The temperature will rise to its maximum values ​​in southern Greece and to its minimum values ​​in the north. It will reach 19 degrees in the north, 24 to 27 in the rest of the country and 29 degrees Celsius locally due to the southerly winds in northern Crete.

Weather: Increased clouds with rain and sporadic thunderstorms. The phenomena from late afternoon will weaken and at night will continue only in western Macedonia, while in the rest of the regions they will stop.

Winds: From easterly directions 4 to 6 Beaufort. In the evening they will weaken and in the west they will turn to northwesterly 3 to 4 Beaufort.
