With the stormy Gulf rains, the worst in the last century in the UAE, serving as an urgent reminder of the need for immediate Climate Action, the 16the Global Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi.

The World Energy Summit WFES held from April 16-18, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, was attended by the Nanotechnology & Organic Electronics Ecosystem, the company OET-Organic Electronic Technologies PCthe COPE-Nano Center of Excellence Nanotechnology Lab LTFN and the HellenicOrganic & Printed Electronics Association HOPE-A.

“We believe in the power of convening diverse voices to promote dialogue, knowledge sharing and creative problem solving. Forums such as the World Summit on the Future of Energy offer critical opportunities for actors from different sectors to exchange views, sparking ideas and collective action”, emphasized the President and CEO of the Independent Authority for Sustainability and Climate Change (UAE) among others -UICCA) Shekha Shamma welcoming to the event representatives from the largest companies, agencies and organizations of 150 countries of the world.

Perhaps there would be no better moment to turn the attention of the International Community to European Energy Innovation, an important station of which Greece and Thessaloniki are.

As stated in a relevant announcement, the revolutionary green industry of organic electronics and photovoltaics 3her generation is the European answer to the phenomenon of climate change and climate neutrality of the economy. Their use ensures green, environmentally friendly energy and their applications ensure high aesthetic energy in buildings and smart cities.

Photovoltaics 3her generation are light, transparent, can be placed on any surface and are produced at low cost and by saving natural resources. Applications of organic photovoltaics in open crops and greenhouses save and save energy, water and arable land use.

This new impressive innovation that offers energy autonomy, user-friendly and environment-friendly energy and creates new innovative products was presented at OET company’s booth during WFES from April 16-18 in Abu Dhabi and impressed the international audience.

During the work of the World Future Energy Summit, but also afterwards in Dubai, the founder of the Nanotechnology and Organic Electronics Ecosystem, President of the OET company and the HOPE-A Association professor Stergios Logothetidis had a series of contacts with representatives of companies, enterprises, organizations , politicians and opinion makers, explaining, among other things, the possibilities and benefits of the installation of Giga-Factories of mass production of semi-transparent organic photovoltaics created by the European project Flex2Energy.

As characteristically pointed out by Mr. Logothetides, the first automated Nano-factory for printing optoelectronic devices and the transparent photovoltaics 3her generation are revolutionizing the field of Green Industry and Green Energy with the services and applications they develop and “answer” the challenge of cheap green energy, saving natural resources, curbing the effects of climate change, saving water and arable land. When the production line and the factory built by the OET company as part of Flex2Energy are completed, it will produce more than 1,000,000 m2 of organic photovoltaics per year. The nanofactory or other similar factories will be able to produce optoelectronic devices such as nano-sensors & bio-sensors for medical applications, organic leds for lighting, organic transistors, etc. Flex2Energy coordinated by OET is building for the first time in the world an automated mass factory organic electronics production. In achieving this goal, in which Greece plays a decisive role, OET collaborates with five other Greek organizations (LTFN Nanotechnology Laboratory, Alumil, Kyriakidis Glass, Depia, HOPE-A) and gradually makes Europe energy independent, providing revolutionary solutions to direction of Sustainable Development and the Circular Economy since organic photovoltaics are the most recyclable and environmentally friendly.
